Talala PD Tip Drop is an occasional email with short, dry crime-prevention tips — lock your car, watch for scams, don’t leave packages on the porch all afternoon. Serious advice, small-town humor. We do not joke about violence. These are tips, not urgent alerts.

Porch pirates hate witnesses
A box sitting on the stoop all day is an invitation. Bring it in, use a lockbox, or have a neighbor grab it. That shipment is not a lawn ornament.
Scam callers don’t take gift cards
The Town will not demand gift cards, wire transfers, or crypto by phone or text. If someone claiming to be Town Hall or PD asks you to pay that way, hang up and call the numbers on this website.
