Lock your car
Your driveway is not a vault. Keys out, valuables gone, doors locked — even “just running inside.” Unlocked vehicles are the neighborhood snack bar for thieves.
Talala Police Department
Talala PD Tip Drop is an occasional email with short, dry crime-prevention tips — lock your car, watch for scams, don’t leave packages on the porch all afternoon. Serious advice, small-town humor. We do not joke about violence. These are tips, not urgent alerts.
Emergency: dial 911. For non-emergency police response, call dispatch at 918-923-4755. Non-emergency crime reports inside Town Limits: Online Police Report.
Need time-sensitive public notices from the Town or Police? Use Town Public Alerts — one signup for email and/or SMS text (not phone calls). That channel is not 911 and is not a legal AMBER Alert replacement.
A few of the reminders that go out by email. Subscribe below if you want them in your inbox.

A box sitting on the stoop all day is an invitation. Bring it in, use a lockbox, or have a neighbor grab it. That shipment is not a lawn ornament.
The Town will not demand gift cards, wire transfers, or crypto by phone or text. If someone claiming to be Town Hall or PD asks you to pay that way, hang up and call the numbers on this website.
